I am a powerful communicator, both within the rhetorics of arts research and between organisations and multiple audiences. My understanding of how language relates to values grew out of my doctoral research, formed the basis of my monograph, and has been a core element in my own writing practice since. I enjoy the challenge of communicating in diverse registers, having been a published author across platforms from Huffington Post blogs for the Nordoff and Robbins charity, through to an academic monograph, a British Medical Journal original research paper, numerous chapters for Oxford University Press textbooks, and effective copy for diverse arts and commercial organisations. My most recent co-authored research output was a report for Alzheimer Scotland entitled, “Living Musically with Dementia” which was produced in creative partnership with staff and professional support services of Alzheimer Scotland, the NHS, and the University of West of Scotland. I have written memoirs for private clients and numerous high impact project reports for arts organisations.
